The focus of SUMMIT is to create a relevant environment for students to attend and to bring their friends. It’s new every week and it’s a fun, interactive and a safe place for students to get connected to God and to each other.
Proclaim – Communicate there is a living God who can be known and involved in our lives.
Pursue – Create a comfortable place for students to learn how to walk practically with Him.
Provide – Encourage outward focus by reaching beyond ourselves to the needs and service of others.
We want every young person to personally experience: wonder, discovery and passion. Here are the ways we define these three experiences:
Wonder – I am created to pursue an authentic relationship with my Creator.
Discovery – I belong to Jesus Christ and define who I am by what He says.
Passion – I exist every day to demonstrate God’s love to a broken world.
These keys ultimately affect everything we do. They pull at our hearts, drive our behavior and capture our imagination. They are the levers our culture pulls, to move us emotionally, in order to appeal to our souls. But if we teach our students how to understand these experiences in the light of who they are in Christ, they will be unstoppable for God.
We will give students the opportunity to model what it means to be “others-focused” by serving in the other environments within the church as well as past the doors of the church.
Winter Olympics KickOff September 16 10:00-3:00 pm
We’re having a SUMMIT Gym Nite the 3rd Saturday of each month for students in grades 7-12. The intent is not only to have a blast playing your favorite gym games, but also for you to invite your friends and provide an opportunity for them to get to know us in a non-threatening environment. Plan to join us on the 3rd Saturday of the month from 7-9 PM.
